Ending gender-based toy marketing

In the wake of the success of the UK and US campaigns, the push towards ending the gender-based marketing of toys has finally hit Australian shores.

Already a recognised issue in Europe, a group of concerned Australian parents has raised a petition on Change.Org calling on toy retailers across the country to end the dichotomy of marketing based on girl versus boy.

  1. Gender based marketing isn’t just about limiting girls. I want my boys to be released from the pervasive culture of thinking certain colors and games are only for girls.
